The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) tests English proficiency across the globe conducting 1.4 million tests globally. IELTS is the world’s most popular English testing system. IELTS respects international diversity and is fair to anyone who sits the test, regardless of nationality. IELTS tests the ability to speak, read, listen and write in English.
The Academic Module is intended for those wishing to enrol in universities and other institutions of higher education.
The General Training Module is intended for those planning to undertake non-academic training or to gain work experience, or for immigration purposes.
*The Listening and Speaking sections are the same for both the Modules, Reading and Writing sections differ.
Students applying for higher education will need a significantly higher level of language skills, levels being generally defined by the university or institution they are applying to. The training will cover all the four areas tested viz. reading, writing, speaking and listening. Adequate practice in answering the question paper will also be given. IELTS scores are required for higher studies in the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, and are accepted globally for other countries as well.
Exams are conducted by the British Council in 42 locations in India. Registration and exam fee payment must be made directly to them, within the specified time. All students are expected to have a passport.
This will also be customised according to the class composition.
There are two options: 2 hrs /day X 20 days = 40 Hours or 3 hours /day x 13 – 15 days.
