Implant Course Curriculum

Module 1

Day 1:        

Morning Session

• Lectures
• Introduction and rationals for dental Implants
• Anatomy and Physiology of Maxilla and Mandible Pertaining to Implants
• Diagnosis and treatment planning forImplants
• Preprosthetic Evaluation
• Prostodontically driven treatment planning

Afternoon Session

• Radiographic imaging in dental Implantology,detailed explanation of  CBCT Planning followed by Hands-on workshop in CBCT Planning and Nobel Clinican Software

Day 2

Morning Session

• Basic surgical technique for placing implants including flaps and suturing technique
• Implants and the associated components

Afternoon Session

• Demonstrations of various flap designs and various suturing techniques followed by hands on by the participants

Day 3 :

Morning Session

• Demonstration of  surgical kit,physiodispenser
• Live demonstration of Implant Placement

Afternoon Session

• Hands on – Dental Implant placement in Dummy mandible by the participants

• Implant placement on Patients from participants under mentor guidance

• Screw Vs Cement retained restorations
• Prosthetic opions for implants
• Impressions procedures in Implants

Afternoon Session

• Demonstration of open tray and closed tray impression techniques and transfer of implants position from mouth to cast
• Demonstration of abutment selection

Day 2 :

Morning session

• Implant overdentures,components and transfer techniques
• Training & Hands –on on Intra oral scanners in recording digital Impressions

Afternoon Session

• Second stage surgery for implants placed in mandible and impression transfer by participants

Day 3

Morning Session

• Digital implant dentistry
• Implant Occlusion and concepts
• Implant loading protocols

Afternoon Session

• Impression transfers by participants

Module 4

Day 1

Morning Session

• Full mouth Rehabilitation with All-on-Four and All-on-Six Implants
• Immediate Implant Placement and provisionalisation

Afternoon Session

• Impression transfers of Maxillary implants by participants
• Prosthesis cementation

Day 2

Morning Session

• Hard and soft tissue grafting
• A-PRF & I-PRF for Implants
• Management of surgical and prosthetic complications and failures in Implantology

Afternoon Session

• Impression transfers and prosthesis cementation by participants
• Demonstration of assessment of occlusion digitally by T-Scan
• Demonstration of A-PRF,I-PRF and steaky bone.

Day 3

Morning session

• Implant maintenance and follow up
• Cementation and occlusal evaluation
• Live video Demonstration of sinus lift technique

Afternoon Session

• Hands-on on sinus lift procedures on dummy models
• Cementation of prosthesis by participants
• Case discussions and closing ceremony
