This sedation Academy has started with a board of members to initiate training programs for the fellow dentists. There are various aspects of dental sedation. The most commonest and widely practised type of sedation by dentists is nitrous oxide inhalation sedation [NOIS]. The next method requires the presence of anesthetist in intravenous sedation [IVS]. THE TRAINING PROGRAM is based on protocols followed in the U.K and U.S.A for nitrous oxide inhalation sedation.

The board of members and committee members include fellow postgraduate dentists and anesthetists who have been doing sedation assisted dentistry for more than five years and have sufficient experience and scientific documentations to share with the fellow dentists who are interested to learn.

 

Dr.Roshan Rayen,M.D.S basically is a specialist in pediatric dentistry who has inculcated Nitrous Oxide Inhalational Sedation(NOIS) innhis clinical practice since 2010.He routinely practices sedation dentistry on a day to day basis. He has three centres and all are fully equipped to perform sedation assisted dentistry. with more than twelve years of postgraduate clinical experience he has documented a lot of his interested clinical cases with videos under nitrous oxide inhalational sedation. He has given guest lectures in various national forums on nitous oxide inhalational sedationacross tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh. He is one among the few pioneer pediatric dental surgeons in India to perform.

NOIS with utmost comfort and ease. As he practices general dentistry also in one of his centres he performs NOIS dentistry for other dental specialities like oral surgery,periodontia,endodontics,implantology(etc).
