Dr. Ashit is board certified aesthetic plastic surgeon. After attaining the highest degree in plastic surgery (MBBS, MS, MCh), he is into private practice since 1992. He established the exclusive department of Aesthetic surgery and Aesthetic medicine at Shalby hospitals in 2008, which is an exclusive and unique clinic in India.

He popularised the concept of exclusivity for aesthetic surgery and aesthetic treatment. He has given the concept of “total care under one roof”. Aesthetic surgery, aesthetic LASERS and aesthetic medicine are combined to achieve the best result with minimum down time and maximum result. 

His main areas of interests are body shaping surgeries (like Liposuction, tummy tuck, arm lift and reduction, total body lift after post bariatric surgery), aesthetic breast surgeries (like breast enlargement by implants, short scar breast lift, scar less and short scar breast reduction), anti ageing surgery, facial rejuvenation by autologus fat injection. 

He popularised the concept of “Total body make over” in India. He refined the procedure of autologus fat injection. He has performed surgery on many well-known celebrities, models and film stars.
